Our Story
Since the release of our 1995 inaugural vintage, Wind River Cellars has been producing award winning wines made from grapes grown in the Columbia River Gorge and Klickitat County. Recognized as one of Washington State’s most respected wineries, Wind River Cellars has expanded its product line to include twelve different varieties of red and white wine.

The Winery
80% of Wind River Cellars production is sold out of the winery’s jazz-free tasting room which is open daily 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The winery estate, with its stunning views of Mt. Hood, offers the perfect setting for weddings, corporate groups and parties. For several years in a row, Wind River Cellars has been voted one of the “Northwest’s Best Places to Kiss”. The local Husum community also offers several other activities, including golf, white water rafting, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, hiking, fishing and dining.
Winemaker and Owner, Joel Goodwillie, a forth generation Washingtonian, is dedicated to managing the winery’s estate vineyard with meticulous and environmentally sound attention. Grapes are also sourced from some of the region’s most reputable vineyards, including Celilo and Horse Heaven vineyards.
