The Columbia Gorge is one of the few regions where the region's beauty outshines the wines. The Gorge is home to the windsurfing and kiteboarding capital of the world as well as world class white water kayaking and rafting, year round snowboarding and skiing, endless mountain biking and miles and miles of breath taking hiking trails.
The local towns of Hood River, White Salmon, Bingen and Stevenson offer some of the finest restaurants in the Northwest as well as stable and renowned artist industry.
You may visit the Columbia Gorge for the wine but end up staying for all the things there are to do tomorrow.
