Tempranillo 2007

As one of the early Washington State producers of Tempranillo, Wind River Cellars has gained great notoriety for producing award winning wines from this lavish Spanish variety. Dark earthy tones of cherry and blackberry allow this bold wine to accompany hearty dishes.

Winemaker’s Notes:

It looks like 2009 will be an amazing vintage although we will have to wait 18 months or more to be sure. Before we even barreled the wine it was remarkably drinkable and smooth- we can only imagine what another year in the barrel will do to refine the taste even more.
