White Port

Winemaker Notes:

A few years ago, in the fall of 2007, Joel was having fun in the winery and decided to add some of the distilled Chardonnay brandy to a barrel of fermenting Riesling. He took the results to the tasting room and everyone that tried it, liked it! So he bottled it and called it Harriet’s Port after his neighbor that lives up the hill from the vineyard.

Note, this is the traditional way fortified dessert wines are made. The only difference is the varietals used, and these are typical Columbia Gorge varietals.
